Small Intimate Weddings vs Larger Impersonal

What’s trending heavily in 2018 is a desire for smaller more intimate weddings oppose to the larger scale 200 plus receptions. The main reason for this we find is because of mainly two reasons: One, logistical issues, such as difficulty in guests travel arrangements. Second, is budget, Couples now-a-days are opting to pay for the entire weddings themselves oppose to enlisting help of parents. Naturally they don’t want to break the bank so early in marriage but want to stay close to a manageable budget that is affordable. Due to a restricted budget, couples choose to keep their big day special to only those that are immediate and close.

A smaller wedding can allow you to feel closer and more intimate with your guests. It can save you on the cost of a venue by utilizing your backyard or a close friend or family with the ideal spot. It also allows you to become more creative and make the experience for your guests unforgettable. A cool trend that we are seeing is having your guests dine at one long table. With this idea, you can add large fluffy pillows around the table for of a Moroccan theme. Adding lanterns and votive candle is a nice touch as well as hanging strings of lights if it’s outdoors. Rent a bar and lounge furniture if you don’t already own presentable lawn furniture.

For entertainment, create a bonfire to roast marshmallows or setup a large screen for a romantic movie, utilizing the large pillows that were used around the dinner table for your guests to lounge on. Rent a fun popcorn and nacho station to go along with the movie.

Make it your own and add your signature, this is what makes weddings memorable.
